You can never have enough sunshine in you life. So I gratefully thank Mikki and Allyn for passing along the Sunshine Award to me. I’m happy to post it here this week to brighten my little corner of the blogosphere!
Thank the person(s) who sent it to you.
Answer ten questions about yourself.
Write a post about it.
Pass the award on and let the recipients know.
Favorite color? Sea foam green
Favorite animal? To own: dogs. To admire from afar: Anything photographed by Nick Brandt.
Favorite number? 500 – the approximate number of candies in a bag of Starburst jellybeans.
Favorite drink? Coca~Cola
Facebook or Twitter? Facebook
My passion? Writing
Getting or Giving? Giving
Favorite Pattern? I’m more of a solids kind of girl. But if I have to pick, I’ll say stripes.
Favorite day of the week? Saturday
Favorite flower? Lilacs. I love the way the scent fills the entire house.
And because music holds such potential for brightening a day, I’m adding another question. Favorite happy song? I had a terrible time limiting it to just one but I finally settled on Owl City’s On the Wing. And I just love this fan-made video.
I'd like to pass The Sunshine Award on to:
What is your favorite happy song?
This is the first time I'm hearing about sea foam green ~ sounds wonderful! And I just checked out the link to Nick Brandt: oh wow. The pictures of the elephants got to me especially.
ReplyDeleteA song that always makes me smile is Yamit Mamo's 'Love Our Time Today'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bd_IuyL-7NY
Heard it from a British comedy 'Death At A Funeral.'
Thanks for sharing the link Claudine, can't wait to check it out.
DeleteHmmm. I have LOTS of songs that I love. It's hard to pinpoint just ONE happy song.
ReplyDeleteWell, YOU ARE LOVED by Josh Groban. That's pretty awesome. :)
I know, Cat, there are soooo many great songs.
DeleteLike you, I also like simple solids but I can live with stripes too! There are many happy songs I like. An oldie that I like is the Beach Boys' Kokomo.
ReplyDeleteIt may be an oldie, but it's hard not to smile when that one plays ;)
DeleteOh, my goodness-- that photographer is AMAZING! I especially love the cheetah and cubs.
ReplyDeleteYour favorite number made me laugh out loud. :)
And my favorite is lilacs, too! I have a bush of them in my backyard. They remind me of my mom.
Congrats on getting the award, and I'm crazy flattered that you passed it along to me! Thank you!
My favorites are the lion pictures. Just lovely!
DeleteLove those pictures! My kids once rode an elephant. I felt sad for it. I think he should be free. :(
ReplyDeleteI love lavender, gardenias, and lilacs. We have those all around. Hibiscus too. I'm a Florida girl (living in NC) so I have to say hibiscus and gardenias.
Congrads. You deserve the award. :-)
I always feel so sad for the elephants at the fair. I agree, they should be free.
DeleteNothing more inspiring that the sun bursting through clouds. Lovely.

ReplyDeleteI love lilacs as well, but wish they stayed around longer. Don't tell anyone, but I'm a secret fan of Veggie Tales. I taught Children's Church for awhile and learned the songs.
Veggie Tales are fun. And those songs have a way of getting stuck in your head!
DeleteLove that photography! I see them on Pinterest too--I'm going to have like them! :)
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of songs that make me happy--Lean on Me is an oldie but it always makes me smile.
My daughter visited a gallery with his artwork a couple of weeks ago and introduced me to his work. I just can't get enough of it!
DeleteI'm sorry, Ruth, I'm still in a reverie about your favorite flower - lilac - and can't even think of a song! I probably would not have said it was my favorite, but I am definitely a lilac fan!
